As our area continues to grow and more families are choosing to move into the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw community, our school district must find ways to accommodate for short-term and long-term enrollment projections. One of the ways to address growth is by building new schools, which has resulted in the addition of Elementary 15, Dozier Elementary.
In November, two community meetings were conducted and information about the proposed plan, including a Q&A from parent questions during the meeting, was posted to the district website to further communicate and address questions. After evaluating feedback from the meetings and considering growth projections for the area, EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç revised the proposal to include Dozier Elementary as a bilingual campus rather than Parkview Elementary. This means the District will continue with three bilingual campuses on the west side (Dozier, Elkins, and Willow Creek) to help accommodate for future growth.
