three men stand in front of a blue angels jetIt was the ride of a lifetime, inside the most famous jet in the US Navy, hitting an exhilarating g-force of 7.6 soaring over Fort Worth.

It’s also a memory John Fahey, Director of College, Career, and Military Readiness in EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç, will never forget.

On Friday, April 12, Fahey stepped into the cockpit with the Blue Angels for a practice flight ahead of the Wings Over Cowtown Air Show at NAS Fort Worth JRB.

“I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to represent the district with this special honor,” said Fahey. “There’s a dedicated team of individuals at both the campus and district levels who truly deserve this recognition. I’m simply grateful to be able to represent all of us and the tireless effort we invest every day in supporting our students.”

Fahey, recognized as a key influencer by the Blue Angels, earned this incredible opportunity for the role he plays in fostering positive relationships between EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç, the base, and local military families. Through his dedicated efforts, Fahey ensures that military families transitioning into the district receive the support they need to thrive within the school community.

Moreover, Fahey plays a vital role in guiding students who are considering military careers, facilitating a smooth transition from high school into the armed forces.  three man stand in front of a blue angels jet

“Our goal in the CCMR department is to ensure that students understand the various opportunities available to them, whether that involves college, a career, or the military. As a collaborative team of teachers, advisors and administrators, we strive to eliminate barriers and educate students about the possibilities after high school. Witnessing students walk across the stage to receive their diplomas, knowing they have a well-defined plan for their next steps, is an accomplishment we celebrate – and I’m confident our parents do as well.”

Still, he never imagined that work would lead to this once in a lifetime experience. We are #EMSproud of John Fahey and his work supporting military families and students in EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç.
