Employees of the year from across EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç were honored during the Employee Appreciation Awards brunch held on April 18, 2024, at the EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Administration Building and Discovery Lab Learning Center.

Award winners from each campus, Central Administration and Maintenance, along with campus and district leaders and members of the Board of Trustees were treated to a brunch catered by the HCTC Culinary Arts team and the EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Bistro team.

EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Superintendent Dr. Jim F. Chadwell addressed those in attendance.

"Today we want you to know that your legacy is real, it has purpose, and it has staying power," Chadwell said. "Whether you are in the classroom daily or serving in a vital support role, you are a positive force that inspires those around you and leaves a lasting impression for many generations.

Marking a special conclusion to the ceremony, the EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Auxiliary Employee of the Year, Paraprofessional Employee of the Year, Professional Employee of the Year, Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year were announced.

The district-level winners were selected from the campus and department winners chosen earlier in the school year.
