Nine EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Athletes Compete at the State Powerlifting Meet

Nine student-athletes advanced to the Texas High School Powerlifting meet in March. Five Saginaw High School student-athletes competed in the Class 5A division including; Bisola Olusomiro who secured sixth place, Nghi Tran earned seventh, and Mila Luangraj placed 12th in their respective weight classes. Francis Arroyo lifted an impressive total of 990 lbs, earning her the State Champion title in her weight class. In addition, Xzaviah Milton concluded the season with an impressive performance and a 10th place finish for the Rough Riders.

Three student-athletes from Boswell High School also advanced in the Class 6A division including, Luci Lambert who earned second place in her weight class with a total lift of 1,010 lbs, Ashlee DeHoyos finishinh seventh place with a total of 725 lbs, and Braeden DeHoyos who delivered a standout performance in his first showing at state.

Finally, Prunelle Ngilo of Chisholm Trail High School was the first female powerlifter to advance to the state meet for the Rangers in the Class 6A division, where she also had an impressive showing.
