School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas)
Established with the implementation of Senate Bill 875 of the 76th Texas Legislature, the School FIRST financial accountability system was developed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to recognize quality performance in the management of school district financial resources. Every year, the District receives a rating based on financial criteria that is provided to the public in an annual report along with certain financial disclosures. A history of recent EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç School FIRST Reports is provided in the links below. Since the rating system's inception in the 2002-2003 school year, EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç has maintained a passing score and achieved a “Superior” rating in most years.
