• Lake Pointe Elementary Library Check-Out Procedures

Registered students of Lake Pointe Elementary may check out books from the school library.

Students are responsible for the condition of their library book once it is checked out from the library.  Students practice examining the book and bring to the librarian’s attention any damage to the book prior to check out.

Books are loaned to the student for one week.  Books may be renewed twice, for a total of three weeks.  The book must be present in the library in order for the book to be renewed.

The student, with their parent, is responsible for any damages (after check-out) or losses of the library book.  If the damage is repairable, at the discretion of the librarian, then a partial fee may be charged.  If the book is not repairable, then the replacement cost of the book is charged.  See below for book damage fees.
