• Lake Pointe Library Programs

    BLUEBONNET PROGRAM - This state-wide program is provided by the Texas Library Association. Students in grades 3-6 who have read at least 5 of the 20 books on the Texas Bluebonnet List by January of each year are eligible to vote for their favorite Bluebonnet book/author.  Votes are tallied state-wide and the winning book/author is given the Texas Bluebonnet Award.  Students may earn rewards based upon the number of Bluebonnet books read.

    BOOK FAIRS - Book Fairs offer students, their families and teachers an opportunity to purchase quality reading material, often at reduced prices.  The Library is able to use profit from Book Fairs to purchase additional materials.  Additional information will be sent home with students as Book Fair times approach.

    BOOK-IT READING PROGRAM - The Book-It Reading Program is sponsored by Pizza Hut.  Students in grades K-5 are able to earn a free individual-sized pizza each month for meeting the reading requirements set by their teacher.  The Book-It Program begins in October and ends in March.  Students interested in participating will receive materials from their homeroom teachers.
