Chisholm Trail High School Band Directors
-
I am honored to have been chosen to be the second Director of Bands in the history of Chisholm Trail High School. I have spent the last sixteen years teaching in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District. I spent the first six years of my career as the Percussion Director and five years as Assistant Band Director at Saginaw HS, then the next six years as both Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director at Chisholm Trail High School before becoming Director of Bands in 2018. Prior to coming to EM-S ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç, I previously served as a percussion instructor at the University of Arkansas, Abilene Christian University, and at Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.
I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's in Music from the University of Arkansas, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University. My professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Percussive Arts Society, Phi Mu Alpha professional music fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi band service fraternity, Golden Key National Honor Society, and Pi Kappa Lambda national music honor society.
Since 2009, I have been married to my wife Robin, with whom I have two children, eight-year-old Chloe and six-year-old Daphne. We are members of The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. In my "free time," I am an avid reader, and I enjoy running, as well as rooting for my alma mater, the Arkansas Razorbacks, at every opportunity.
